Principle:

The SKZ1044A Flame Photometer operates based on emission spectroscopy. It uses the heat flame to stimulate alkaline earth metal atoms in the sample. These atoms absorb energy from a first energy level transition and release energy when falling to a normal energy level. The released energy has spectral characteristics within a specific wavelength range. Each alkali metal or alkaline earth metal produces a different color in the flame, allowing for qualitative testing. The flame intensity is directly proportional to the solubility atoms in the solution, enabling quantitative testing.
